Earlier this year offices across Australia were closed down due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
In a mad rush those of us that worked in those offices had to set up makeshift offices at home.
Some opted to buy a full office desk / chair solution while others were happy enough to set up on a plastic picnic table rescued from the back corner of the garage or on the kitchen table.
A recent survey of Australian office workers suggests that over 50% don’t plan to or believe that they will return to the office.
This begs the question, do they stay using their hurriedly created office spaces or look for an alternative.
There are two traditional alternatives. You can properly set up an existing room for long term use or renovate and add in that extra room.
Both these solutions have their pro’s and con’s.
